What Does A Photo Say To You?
In today’s world of social media sharing, information is consumed at a rate never before seen in human history. Typically, a social media post has about half a second to capture attention, or with the swipe of a thumb it’s gone forever.
There are, of course, some exceptions to this, social media influencers who have huge followings can capture longer dwell times by default, as a follower will see their name and stop to read.
The bad news, there’s only about ten to twenty people on each platform, out of hundreds of millions who carry this kind of weight.
The good news, with good content, you could become one of them.
The secret? Good content, that begins with good images and video and continues with good story telling. If you’re in business with a goal of encouraging brand loyalty through the use of social media channels, you can hack this by paying an influencer to promote your brand, or, if you don’t have that budget you can build your following organically in a number of ways.
First, hire a social media consultant. This is a service that we offer, we can discuss and teach you about best practices, post for you, and provide images and campaign strategies.
If you don’t have budget for that, or if you are a do it yourselfer you need good images to create compelling content. Remember to mix it up, show different sides of your business, or if you’re an entrepreneur, yourself. We can help you with this as well by providing great images for your campaign.
This morning I came across this great night photo of Manhattan by Denis Nevozhai. When I look at it I think of commerce and industry. I also correlate it to the digital age, there’s something about this that speaks “programming” to me, I can see it being very suitable for a number of business uses, anything from Uber to Apple and it would definitely make a great call to action area photo for a website!
If you would like to talk about best practices for your business, a website revamp, social media take over, or something as small as new images, please let me know, I can be reached by using the “contact us” link on this site.
Thanks for reading, I hope we talk!
